The stigma attached to the establishment is nothing new. Its initial attempt, in Burlington, was denied. When plans came before the Braintree Planning Board in October and before the Licensing Board in March, town officials got an earful about how the arcade, combined with a bar, would bring unsavory elements to the area. As a result, the Planning Board imposed 54 conditions aimed at ensuring a smooth and orderly operation.

Powers is sure that when the restaurant opens on Dec. Especially as it will open during the busy holiday shopping season, the challenges could be cumbersome, he said. Dave and Busters is a fun place to work but they cut your hours badly, if you call out one day they cut your hours for the next week and if it's not busy they will send you home.

Support Technician. I'm in LOVE with this company, but management is very lacking. I love the company and what they stand for, their charity work, and just the amazing environment. BUT there are some things that have just become not okay over my time with the company. After a year and a half, I'm seeking new employment.

I personally don't mind long shifts with no breaks, but I've seen many people leave after two weeks because of this fact. Management is super flakey, some days it's okay, other days you just have to fend for yourself most of the time. During an 8 hour shift nobody comes to check on you unless you call for guest assistance, only able to use the restroom if you can manage to stop another co-worker walking by.

I've heard amazing stories of people starting as servers or bussers and ending up in senior management, but I've never actually witnessed it. Honestly I'm just getting tired of an environment that only cares about the numbers they send to corporate, instead of assisting guests and making sure employees have what they need to actually do their jobs an succeed. Pros amazing culture and fun workplace. Cons no breaks whatsoever, have worked 15hr shifts with no break.

Definitely a fun and energetic environment. Helped me development customer service skills as well as learning small hands on jobs with engineering. Overall enjoyed working here. Easily can move up to management positions. The only downside is its a lot of hours and you usually have to work weekends. Pros fun environment, good money. Cons no breaks, no weekends off, lots of hours. Dave and Busters as a company provides better benefits and pay than most kitchen jobs. How ever the management at the Braintree store has little to no regard for their staff.

The refuse to listen to employees who have been at that store longer than they have been with the company. The cut corners as far as repairs to equipment and refuse to staff appropriately for high volume times.

The kitchen is has been under staffed for over a year and with out a prep or banquet cook for nearly 6 months. The reason was so that they could keep labor down. Again Dave and Busters as a company does provide for its employees better than most but Braintree store is run by condescending, lazy, penny pinchers who do not care about their staff.

Pros paid time off, good health care. Cons rude to employees, unrealistic work expectations. Yes There are 5 helpful reviews 5 No There are 2 unhelpful reviews 2. Mangament is inconsistant. Some days are better then other but overall it is a good place to work.

Stay ontop of your work and the shift will go by smoothly! Pros guests, games. Cons no free food, no breaks, long shifts. Yes No There are 3 unhelpful reviews 3. Yes There are 33 helpful reviews 33 No There are 7 unhelpful reviews 7. Working here I learned to handle the more hetic and stressful part of the hospitality business. I helped managed the line and expo food in the most critical times of the day. Pros Good pay. Cons No breaks. Yes There are 5 helpful reviews 5 No There are 1 unhelpful reviews 1.

Overall the job is OK, Not many benefits and no free meals when working. The management are usually aware of their responsibility but do not have people skills and its not a career i would want for my life. Pros lots of hours flexible availability. Cons no free meal, long hours, incompetent managment. A day at work begins with deliveries coming in at am and usually coming in all through the day.
