User Info: Morpheus I think people just became too attached to the older games, and when FF XII was released they expected it to follow the same formula. I personally don't have a problem with the changes and, in my opinion, they were extremely refreshing and well needed. I love the older games, but this one blew me away in terms of scale, presentation, the side quests and the general atmosphere.

Don't let them take it from you. Because haters eat poop :O Sims logic: Cheat on your wife, high five her till she forgives you. User Info: Mr Hangman. FFXII is very non-linear, with huge open area maps. The political comment is BS, sure, but it's almost always lobbed at people who are trying to criticize the story. User Info: bronze4v4pro. That isn't the problem. I really wanted to like the characters.

Reported because your post hurt my fragile sensibility and I cry when someone insults me. Here you have to go out of your way completely to make someone a different "job" potentially screwing your progress as the first job. Granted there were items like Black Magic Sphere to get a quick black magic without the need to move there on the grid, but if you do that with a character with low Magic, it won't be useful at all.

At the end-game of course everyone's just the same sans their overdrives and their Celestial Weapons. User Info: Ramegacorn. I love FF12 as far as gameplay, sidequests, etc. But for me an RPG can only truly be brought to life with good character development and for some reason a good ending is essential for me. FF12 didn't deliver on either, so even though it was a great game it has no replay value for me and I'll probably never touch it again.
