But in award terms, it would mean nothing. A few years ago a nice new disc with an expansion pack and patches applied, a new cover with some review tag lines and a few film style extra features was a nice thing, I always got the impression that it was catering for the completist or collector. Generally it means about the same as "ultimate", "gold" or any number of other qualifiers. It might mean it was awarded GOTY by somebody , somewhere at some time , but with so many potential outlets, magazines, websites, YouTubers random dudes on twitter - it means not very much at all as an indication of quality.
